Hello from Essex, UK

Hi all,

My name is Neil and I'm from Essex, UK. Been a web & UI designer for over nine years. Now doing a UX design diploma (online with the UX design institute) so I can confidently give myself the title of a UI/UX Designer

I also know front-end developement and wrote many tutorials for industry magazines, such as Net Magazine and the Web Designer mag.

It's good to be here and looking forward to learning some new 'stuff'

@neilpearce Hi Neil, welcome! Is this the UX Design Institute? I hadn't come across them before, what made you go with them over other options such as General Assembly, DesignLab, Springboard etc. There are so many!

Great to have you here with your experience too. Maybe we should start a category for learning resources, as there's some useful stuff dotted about, from the design challenge (this sort of thing). Any suggestions are welcome!

HI @Graeme - yeah that's the one. I did look at the others, but the UX Design Institute was cheaper, had great reviews and offers a university-accredited diploma.

Having a category for learning resources would be good. If I can think of some suggestions, I'll let you know

@neilpearce University-accredited is a great selling point! I've just added a 'Learning Resources' category. A good place to list books, courses and other material for learning all sorts!
