This forum and website are 2 connected sites that work together.
Thats why they have different domains:
- Main: https://prototypr.io/
- Community: https://community.prototypr.io/
I’ve tried to make them work together well, with the shared comment system, and a way to get your community messages and notifications on the main site too:
Conversely, I made the navbar on the community the same as the main website, showing forum as the active link. So on desktop you have this:
However, sometimes I find them confusing. For example, when I’m on the community site, and click ‘home’ or ‘topics’ in the nav, it takes me back to the main website when I wanted to go to the homepage of the forum.
I wondered if anyone else thinks this needs changing, or if there’s any other similar issues when using both sites?
Would it help putting the link down the sidebar, to make it even easier to click between the two - or would that overpopulate the sidebar?
